I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Craig & Jackie Mathews for around 40 years, right after they started their innovative and welcoming fly shop, Blue Ribbon Flies. In those early years I spent many hours talking fishing and fly tying with Craig, but it wasn’t until a few years later that I realized how dedicated he was to conservation, especially in the Greater Yellowstone area. I wanted this interview to not only reflect his fishing and tying knowledge, but also to introduce Craig to others as a major leader in conservation. I only wish the video could have been longer to highlight his being the author or coauthor of nine books on fly fishing and the many awards he and Jackie have received for their years of leadership.
