Looking back
Henry’s Fork Lodge opened in 1990 and was soon recognized as one of the world’s finest fly fishing lodges. In 2003 the Lodge was featured in the New York Times bestseller, 1000 Places to See Before You Die. During our 35 years we’ve
aimed to make the Lodge a place not only to see, but also to experience in every way. To that end, we’ve emphasized seamless personalized service as our hallmark from the very beginning.
Our family and our Lodge team has been a lasting presence over the years, and we take pride in our stable, caring, and experienced staff to host you during your visits. This year’s staff team includes some notable returnees:

Looking forward to 2024
We’re expecting another busy season at the Lodge, but we do have some available dates throughout the season. As usual, June and July dates have been filling first, with August and September having the most available dates. We still have some availability even in the busiest times, so please call or email us to check on openings. Guides too are booking up early, so call us to let us help you find guides from the five fly shops whose guides we recommend and book.
Water and hatch conditions are changeable from week to week and through the season, but here are some indicators for the 2024 fishing season. The current snow water equivalent stands at around 80% of normal in the Island Park watershed and the current predictions for hatches is that they will be just a few days ahead of average in the Harrriman Park/Pinehaven area and the lower Henry’s Fork. We’re fortunate that the Henry’s Fork is spring fed and also controlled by several dams, so is fishable from early in the season when other major watersheds are usually still in runoff. In particular, the spectacular stonefly hatches of early season should give us great fishing from the opening of the Idaho season on May 25.
